The Most Reliable Super-Insulated Precast Concrete Livestock Waterers in North America

Built to last. Engineered for efficiency. Trusted on operations that demand zero downtime.

Why don’t you see plastic feed bunks and feed storage?

Why Cancrete

Proven Durability That Outlasts Everything Else

Cancrete Waterers are cast from high-strength, air-entrained concrete engineered to withstand decades of hard use, harsh winters, and constant livestock pressure.

All metal components are constructed from stainless steel, paired with durable PVC Kerick Valves for reliable, consistent performance. With no lightweight plastic parts to break or get pushed off, Cancrete Waterers are built to stay put and keep working.

It’s a waterer you can count on, season after season.

Built for durability and herd health, Cancrete Waterers use heavy-gauge stainless steel on the valve cover, service door, ball float, and all hardware. Behind the stainless steel access panels, rotomolded insulated inserts add another layer of protection against the elements.

Each unit features the largest cleanouts in the industry, making routine cleaning fast and thorough, because clean water matters for your herd. Smooth interior surfaces with no sharp corners help prevent buildup, while epoxy-coated concrete provides superior resistance to sodium, manure, acids, and silage.

Thanks to the thermal mass of insulated concrete, Cancrete Waterers outperform plastic and metal fountains by maintaining more consistent water temperatures in all conditions.

Most extension agencies and research agree:
Drinking water should be kept around 40-50°F year-round for optimal cattle performance.

Because of the thermal mass of concrete, Cancrete waterers naturally hold water in this ideal range longer than plastic units, especially during extreme temperatures.

    Energy-Efficient Winter Performance

Founded in Alberta, Canada in 1990, Cancrete was built where winter conditions are unforgiving.

With deep frost-free designs, insulated housings, and low-watt, thermostatically controlled heat elements, Cancrete waterers deliver open water all winter while keeping electric bills low.

Cancrete livestock waterers are also commonly referred to as concrete tanks, blue waterers, fountains, constant-flow tanks, automatic waterers, bowls, and cattle waterers.

    quote

“Using Cancrete tanks I’m in the house drinking coffee while my neighbors are out chipping ice and thawing plastic tanks! We will get up to 200 inches of snow a year so we know cold.”

    Steve Semkowicz
Seneca Falls, Upper New York State

“-40 F and mine keeps working. Great waterer.
Only tweak it requires is to silicone the top lid to the waterer.
Ten years old and original valve and heat element.
    It works!

    Dale Drawbond
    Westby, Montana

“We like the fact, the installation is so easy, everything is there and hooked up, it takes nothing to install these waterers.

    Ken Real

    McCool Junction Nebraska

Just wanted to give our feedback on the Cancrete 250 system as so many in the Lower 48° are battling the elements with their livestock right now.

We are in interior Alaska where we see extreme cold of 50-60° below just about every winter. 40° below is not uncommon and at 20° below life carries on as normal. Our place is wide open flat land and the wind screams. The Cancrete system carries us through with no problem. Water stays open, water keeps flowing. We have never had a freeze up with the water tank, the float, or the steady flow. We have a 100′ water line going from the well to each waterer which is wrapped in heat trace, surrounded in 2″ of foam insulation, and buried 8′ deep.

“The C150 worked well, no freezing, no leaks. Cows didnt move it or damage it.”

    EasyPad with Cancrete Waterer

    Advantages of the EasyPad

Eliminates last-minute installation issues such as frozen ground – Perfect when winter catches you off guard.

Eliminates paying extra for short loads of concrete.

Eliminates concerns about ground settling and pad undermining in future years – Simply lift the waterer and pad, fix and pack the ground, and reset.

Eliminates the need to buy forming materials, steel, and labor during short summer construction seasons.
