I would like to share a story on Cancrete waters. We
were wintering approximately 400 cows in a cow-calf
operation in North Central Montana the only thing
between us and the North Pole is one barb wire fence
and part of Saskatchewan. Well one of our fierce
storms came along called an Alberta Clipper power
lines broke and the local REA had us out of
electricity for ten days.
We weigh every bit of feed that the cows eat, guess
what our feed consumption went up six thousand
pounds per day while we chopping ice for the cattle
when the electricity was out. Simple math will tell
you that our feed cost went up one hundred and
eighty dollars a day, so what is an electricity
bill?
It takes a cow so many btu's to warm that ice water.
Through time I have replaced all of the other brand
cattle waterers that crack and rust for the maintenance
free Cancrete waters. In fact we use over twenty of
the Cancrete waters and recommend them to any cattle
producer, feed lot or auction yard.
